I'd think you'd have two options - one, contact them and two, use the claim by phone or fax. The e-mail option is pretty new - up until maybe a month ago, you could only claim by phone or fax.

I've found that Justia and Cornell show up higher in searches than AVVO. But don't neglect AVVO - when they get stronger, that will work as well.

Don't see a revenue model for Justia...yet - and they don't charge anything. Avvo does offer other services so i would guess that is part of their revenue model. The more you complete your profile, the higher you show up on the practice area pages for a given geographical area.

i am trying to claim my profile, but it has the wrong email for me. how do i claim it? Also, I have been able to claim my www.avvo.com profile. What advantages does the Justia listing have over Avvo or vice versa? I am also curious about their revenue model. Do they have a performance-based model like www.lawyermarketing.attorneysync.com? Or are they straight subscription/placement?

Great services for attorneys!

Once you verified your profile, log in and click on the "my profile" tab on the upper right. Once there, every section has an "edit" link. Click on it and you're good to go - add to your hearts content.
